A Map of My Childhood
This map depicts my childhood, and all that influenced me to become who I am today. As you can see, it shows how each element contributed to the rainbow of personality traits that became my teenage self. Everything that happened in my childhood completed me into a rainbow of a teenager.
When observing the elements included, I touch upon some negative and some positive elements. While I touch upon multiple people and experiences that have influenced me, the element that feels the most important to touch upon is the effect that my parents had on me.
When raising children, the actions and traits that you hold are directly projected onto your child. My parents raised me to be gracious, outspoken, confident, and strong. These traits are ones that I still value to this day.
These traits will propel me forward in terms of the entrepreneurial mindset. My dad has taught me time and time again how to brand myself and express myself to my fullest potential.
When looking at the map overall, I think it additionally represents the need for work-life balance. In looking at my childhood, connections and hobbies were the things that stood out to me the most upon reflecting on the experiences I’ve had. This shows the need for creative outlets and hobbies throughout all phases of life.
In exploring this element, I have learned that I need to find more time for my hobbies. I am my most creative when I take the time to fuel the passions that I have, and I need to make more space in my day-to-day in order to do so. A great lesson to learn!
