P1 Learnings

My younger values.

My younger values.

This section has everything to do with where I find my purpose and peace. When looking at Monk Manual page 9, I talk about my role models. There is a constant of empathy, strength, and creativity. The values I look for in role models directly translate into page 8, which discusses the places and activities that bring me my peace.

From here, I go into discussing the value I place on gratitude and connection. Then everything connects to my worksheets from Part 1, which notably communicates these exact values in a letter to my younger self.

The words I tell my younger self cover all of the above areas. This shows that the things that you seek in your childhood are things that become necessary for you as an adult.

I wrote specifically on the advice for my younger self that this advice can be applied now, and sometimes I forget these values. I included however that it is nice that I have them written down now, so I have a place to reference them!

This section makes me feel like everything is connected. Like I stated above, my values align across all areas of my life, from what I consume to who I look up to.

My entrepreneurial mindset here is telling me that this shows the value of consistency, and what it means to execute correctly in every aspect of your venture. It also teaches me that passion fuels the most important entrepreneurial projects. Following your passion, despite fear, never fails.

This is also seen in the creative process- those who create with passion, gratitude, and love always produce the most innovative and moving content.

In terms of what I have learned, it is to always follow my passions. No matter how out there they feel, they are valid and deserve to be heard.

I have also learned that people don’t care as much as we think they do. Live more, and care less about what people think. It’s your life, you might as well enjoy it!
